MTR, like most new organizations, is looking for a place to call home. We are searching for a parcel of
land that we can either purchase or preferably to utilize as our club property. A wooded parcel of land between 100 and 300 acres
would be ideal (the larger the better). Our preference is to locate in Harrison County but a parcel
of ground within a short drive of Harrison County would also be fine. Longer term our plans are to make the
club property a multi-use facility for trail hikers, mountain bikers and other outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy.
The club property would be be used by MTR members and their guests to hold monthly meetings, cookouts and
monthly rides. Club members would also be free to ride on the property at any time. MTR would maintain the
property and the trail system. Our hope is to also establish a family picnic area and club house on
the site for all to use and enjoy. Such a facility would give the residents of Southern Indiana a place
to ride their ATV's, share their experiences with other members and to enjoy all the outdoors has to offer.
We are often asked by members and other individuals how they can help. One of the best ways you
can help MTR and its members is by allowing ATV's to ride on your property. ATV trails are
becoming increasing difficult to find and we need your help.
If you own property in Southern Indiana or Kentucky and would be willing to allow our members
to ride on your property please contact us by email at info@MidwestTrailRiders.com
or by phone at (812) 738-6609.
In many cases, MTR members are willing to pay a small fee to ride on a system of trails. If you are
interested in finding out more about this opportunity please contact us by email at

Some of the programs we offer land owners are:
- Fee for Ride - Under this program fees typically paid to land owners are in the $8 to $15 range per
ATV per day depending on the size of the trail system being accessed. Typically the land owner maintains
the trail system and collects the fees from riders
- Maintain and Ride - Under this program MTR members will maintain the trail systems on your property.
In this case, MTR members typically ride for free. However, any guest of an MTR member or non MTR members
would have to pay a normal access fee set by the property owner (typically in the $8 to $15 range per ATV per day).
- MTR Managed - Under this program a Fee for Ride or Maintain and Ride model may be adopted. However, MTR
would collect the ride fees for the property owner for a small administration fee of $2 per ATV per day.
This simplifies access to the property and relieves the property owner of the fee collection burden. Ride fees
would be mailed to the property owner at the end of each month for the prior months rides.
