Click Here for a Printer Friendly Version Location: Located in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area near Murray, KY. Located on the Kentucky Tennessee border about 1 hours south of Paducah Kentucky.
They are located approximately 200 miles from Louisville.
If you're going to visit facilities in the North end, try this: Take I-65 South to Elizabethtown, take the Western Kentucky Parkway west until it runs into I-24 West. From I-24 take Exit 31 to Hwy. 453 South towards Grand Rivers. Cross the canal between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley and continue on 4-5 miles into LBL. The road becomes The Trace. You will arrive at the North Welcome Station.
An alternate route to attractions in central and southern LBL: Take I-65 South to Elizabethtown, from Elizabethtown take the Western Kentucky Parkway West to the Pennyrile Parkway. Take the Pennyrile Parkway South to Hopkinsville. Exit #12 to Hwy 1682 South.
This road is approximately 5 miles and intersects with US Hwy. 68/80. Turn right (West) onto 68/80. Stay on 68/80 through Cadiz and across the Lake Barkley bridge. You are now in Land Between The Lakes. Approximately 4 miles into LBL there will be a median in the road and several signs, one directing you to the LBL Visitor Center, The Trace, etc. Turn left on this road, go to The Trace. Signs will direct you to various LBL facilities.
Approximate Drive Time from Corydon, Indiana: 4hrs.
Hours: Riding is permitted from sunrise to sunset only. Before you come, please call 270-924-2000 for updated trail closure information.
Fees: It costs $15 for a three day pass or @ $50 for an annual pass.

Comments: Turkey Bay is located in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area near Murray, KY. Pitch a tent in the camping area and get a good night's rest under the stars. Turkey Bay has approximately 100 miles of OHV trails which cover a variety of terrain, offering something for every skill level. Flat meadows, mud bogs, rolling hills and rocky plateaus await the adventuresome! The steep hillsides provide beautiful vistas and challenging terrain.There are trails for all off road vehicles. The area contains about 2500 acres.

Park Rules: - Off-Highway Vehicle use is permitted only in the Turkey Bay OHV Area.
- An LBL OHV permit is required, and all OHV's must be registered with LBL.
- All riders are required to wear approved safety helmets while vehicles are in operation, except in vehicles with fully enclosed metal cabs and/or roll bar protection.
- OHV's must have properly functioning spark arresters and mufflers.
- Riding is permitted from sunrise to sunset only.
- No person under age 16 may operate an ATV with an engine size exceeding 90 cc displacement and no person under age 12 may operate an ATV with an engine size exceeding 70 cc, according to Kentucky state law.
- Under Kentucky state law, direct parental supervision is required at all times for persons under age 16 operating an ATV.
- Use of alcohol and other controlled substances while operating an OHV is strictly prohibited.
- Passengers are not allowed on ATVs or motorcycles while in operation.
- Wildlife and plants are protected. Avoid running over young trees, shrubs and animals.
- Those registering an OHV for use in Turkey Bay accept responsibility for all use of the vehicle. LBL is not liable for damage, loss or theft of personal property.
- Ride at your own risk. Know your limits.
